Preparation
Fasting for 6–8 hours. Avoid gas-producing foods for 1–2 days: intestinal gas makes the vessels harder to see.
How it works
The scan is painless and safe. You lie on a couch while the doctor moves the probe with gel over the skin. Afterwards the doctor explains the results and gives a written report.
